We’ve just returned from the Spring 2014 High Point Furniture/Home Décor Market and here is what’s trending this season!

BOLD Fabrics – This chevron fabric is HOT in home décor and fashion – as well as other bold floral patterns, geometric patterns, and Kilim inspired designs.  Adding some accent cushions with a pop of color and patterns can really bring a room to life and add some personality. Top Home Decor Trends For Spring 2014

Lavenders – Lavenders are creeping their way into home décor via accent pillows, bedding, lighting, you name it.  A subtle, lavender can really add some warmth to a graphite or grey set and add some femininity to the space.

Tufted Cushions – We’re seeing this in everything from living room pieces like sofas, chairs to upholstered headboards for the bedroom.

Nail head Accents – What was once only seen on formal leather living rooms is now everywhere!  You’ll see dining room chairs with nail head accents, headboards, mirrors, living room pieces, etc.  It really adds some character to the pieces and makes them look more expensive and elegant without costing you a fortune.

Hollywood Glamour – Some exciting new looks have a real Hollywood Glam feel to them – we’re seeing mirrored furniture, faux crocodile finishes on dressers, mirrors, faux fur accent pillows, etc from top brands like Ashley Furniture, Serta Upholstery, Crown Mark, and more.  Why not create some drama in your space and really make a statement with a WOW piece.  Not so daring?? A mirrored accent table can really add some pop to a room without taking you too far from your comfort zone.

Sleek Furniture – Say goodbye to the over-sized, overstuffed living room pieces.  We’re seeing a revival of sleeker furniture, smooth lines, fitted cushions, tufted backs.  This is great for folks who have struggled with fitting those bigger pieces in your Delaware Apartment Furniture or smaller spaces.
